Hello! My name is Dr. Nia, and I’ve been a practicing veterinarian for almost 20 years. A graduate of Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, I dreamed of becoming a vet since I was a child growing up in Chicago. I hadn’t been practicing long before I realized that things were not going to go the way I planned them out in my head. I thought I would find my dream job, stay there until I retired, then travel and live out my days in peace.
My career has taken many twists and turns, and I have learned so much along the way. Twenty years in, and I have finally figured out what brings me joy. I want to help you find your rightful place, whether that’s in the profession or not, so that you can spend the rest of your time enjoying life.
When I’m not doing what I love career wise, you can find me spending time with my teenaged son and family, baking all things sweet, and when the world opens completely, traveling to different countries to offer medical care to animals that have limited access.
Want to learn a little more about me? Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or send a message through the contact form. Can’t wait to chat!
